he squealed between peals of laughter. "Darn your good manners, I guess I'll have to" Mister replied, releasing him from the leg lock he had him in while the tickle fight ensued. "Thanks!" Little Guy replied jumping down from our bed and running off to get ready for his Pre-K graduation.
Will you please let me go? - the words echoed in my heart.
He was just a Little Guy when I started this blog, and now he is going off to ride on the big yellow bus with all the Big Guys. Soon he will be just one of a thousand kids in his school, making his way through the unsteady waters of the social stream, navigating his classmates and school work as he will continue to do for the next 20 years or so.
And at some point I really will have to let him go... hopefully when that day comes he'll still remember to place his request using his good manners.
