The Age of Aquarius...

According to the onesie's description of her sign, she is independent and optimistic. Independent for sure... she started rolling across the room, pushing herself to sitting, crawling, teething AND pulling up in the space of 10 days. She's on the move now. Too soon for me! She's only 6 months old!!

She Sleeps At the Seashore

Little L spent her first trip to the beach snoozing. It was so windy that day, and it was a bit overcast, also. But, as everyone knows, just because it is overcast doesn't mean that the UV rays aren't damaging your skin, so I ended up trying to shield her from the sun with our jumbo rainbow colored rain umbrella. I am still finding sand in the handle of that thing.


The big blur in the background is the Naples pier.

Flower Girl

These gigantic flower clips are all the rage these days. I bought these on etsy, but do intend to make my own as soon as I have finished turning the basement topsy turvy in search of my dusty, trusty glue-gun. I bought them for LIttle L in particular, along with the white crochet headband to attach them to, since her hair is a faint dusting, at best, but G continually bogarts them for herself. I thought that kind of thing was supposed to be the other way around... little sister stealing from big sister. S'pose it just depends on the coolness factor of the goods.

Dancin' in the dark...

Almost every night Little L wakes up and starts a babblin'. She laughs and giggles at every silly face you make and word you say. She kicks her chubby little legs and grabs for my hair with her dimpled little baby hands. This is our time... the only time when she gets my full and undivided attention, without the other monsters running amok or attacking her with their particular brand of affection. I treasure these late night tete-a-tetes... I know they will disappear way too soon.

Nightshift

So I am almost finished editing the 4th of July session, but I am going to have to call it a night. My baby is upstairs in our newly painted room waiting to nurse and I am just exhausted. Here she is now, just waking up for her snack, illuminated only by the glow of the television that Mister left on when he fell asleep... See you on the flip side.

Born on the 4th of July....

This precious girl will be one year old this Saturday. She is just the sweetest little thing, a bit of a firecracker no doubt. Her mama is one of the most gorgeous ladies I've ever met... and kind and smart to boot! Their mister is one lucky fellow... Have a great birthday love!

Superdog! & his trusty sidekick, The Cutest Baby East of the Mississippi

I had the pleasure of meeting my very first Superhero this past weekend. Sure, he was a little small in stature, but he made up for it in enthusiasm. I have a feeling that one day Superdog will be the proud protector and defender of his trusty sidekick, as she is destined to be quite a little beauty.

Sweet Baby Tushie

I love this portrait. Notice how I didn't blow the highlights in the rug? Woot! Woot! And just looking at it makes me smell Burt's Bee's Baby Bee Milk Bath.... the yummiest baby wash on the planet. Ahh.



G saw this image for the first time today. Immediately she said "Awww! That's the sweetest baby tushie I've ever seen!" High praise from a 4 year old with a baby brother.

Frankie & Annie

I really love Annie Leibovitz's work. I have always admired her creativity and daring images. Recently, much of her work has a certain color processing to it that I haven't seen elsewhere. I decided today I would try to interpret that style of processing. How did I do?

Ol' Blue Eyes

Yesterday afternoon I had the privilege of shooting this little guy. We'll call him Frankie, because his sparkling blue eyes remind me so of the famous old crooner. I promised his Grandmom a sneak peek, so here is the first image I've edited of the little guy.
I promise to post a few more as I get to them... Now it os off to rush G to school. She's already late! And then to the stores to buy suppplies for a diaper cake. I know, the trill of it all is astounding.

The {littlest} gymnast

Rach's daughter, A, sometimes accompanies her to class while she teaches. On this day A had on the teeniest blue and red velour leotard I have ever seen in my life. So adorable. I just love her little chubby legs. Oh, to be one.
