The Mermaid Princess and Children of the Sunset

I took these during our trip to Naples. The day was winding down and I was hoping for a cloud-free sunset, but it was not to be. Oh well, I think the clouds add some visual interest anyway, don't you?

While we were there, we met a family with a wee boy who was very good about sharing his sand toys with my two kids... he had the most gorgeous green eyes I have ever seen.

G's crown of seaweed reminds me so much of a young mermaid princess coming ashore to watch the sun melt into the sea for the evening. The beach is a magical place.
