Mister...

Me: "Honey, do I look thinner?"
Mister: "Thinner than what?"

Me - smacks him with a rubber chicken.

sweething: So Delicious Coconut Yogurt

So I am (mainly) off of dairy and soy and have been unable(ish) to consume regular yogurt. Yesterday, at the Publix on Crabapple, I came across this new product. I got the Vanilla flavor, and I must say it is delicious! SO glad there is this option out there now! Gluten/Dairy/Soy free!

FTTS

"You broke my finger!" Little Guy when they pricked his thumb at the pediatrician.

"It's Missin' Susan" Little Guy telling me who's on the phone.

"Heh, Heh, Heh" Little L's first laugh.

"I love my bed. It is perfectly sized for me." from the one who sleeps on the floor any chance he gets.

from Auntie with love

Little L received this outfit from her Auntie who lives in Michigan. She wasn't big enough to wear it in Valentine's Day, but she is now! I just think it's adorable, don't you?

Little L is growing so fast these days. She no longer has any newborn-ness about her and is fully into the baby stage. She has a very intent look about her, as if she has so much to say, but just can't figure out why we can;t understand what she's trying to say...

My feelings hurt.

The day before yesterday, when Mister was home for lunch, Little Guy was pouting in the corner. When I asked him what was wrong, he told me he hurt his feelings. "Who hurt your feelings?" I asked. "What happened?" He didn't have an answer. He repeated this pouting for the rest of the day and whenever I asked him what was wrong, he always answered, "He hurt my feelings" or "my feelings hurt". Then, that night when he was taking a bath, he got sick in the tub.

My feelings hurt = I don't feel good.

Makes perfect sense. :(

Around the World in 80 Clicks

Catherine of Domestic Bliss in South Korea tagged me to participate in this experiment, so here goes...

Five things I love about being a mom:

1. Midnight smiles from a nursling.

2. Watching my kids learn... you can almost see the wheels turning in their heads sometimes.

3. Tiny treasures collected or created just for me.

4. Laughing. I am a tough customer when it comes to comedy, yet I think my kids are hilarious.

5. Never being truly alone.

Five things I don't love about being a mom

1. Never being truly alone.

2. Poopy diapers.

3. Leaky b00bs.

4. Buckling and unbuckling car seats.

5. The guilt. If you are a parent you know what I mean.

I tag PJ of Georgia Peege and Kristine of Mom of Two Boys to continue this experiment.

Hoppy Easter!

I don't exactly know how the Easter Bunny became a part of this springtime holiday. I'm pretty sure it is derived from something Pagan. like the Christmas Tree is, or perhaps from the Jews, where the egg came from, or was that Pagan, too? I'm certain I could Google it and get the answer, but I sort of like to be in the dark on this one. I mean, who wouldn't love a large benevolent rodent that comes to your garden, not to nibble the shoots of the vegetables you are trying to cultivate, but instead to leave you presents of candy and chocolate on a Sunday morning? Way better than the fake cocoa puffs that real rabbits leave behind.

Me & My Baby

She's such a sweet baby. So easygoing and patient. She puts up with the bigs attacking her with love constantly and me being distracted half the time with a graciousness one cannot expect a 10 week old to possess. When she smiles, the sun and the stars shine just a little bit brighter. When she sleeps, so warm and quiet next to me, I am filled with peace.

The beanbag chair IS NOT a toilet.

So yesterday my kids were taking a bath. I know, taking a bath is part of most children's regular routines, but I do believe that my children have become addicted to that warm enveloping tub of water as they ask for a bath about thrice a day and when they finally do get in one remain in it for 90 minutes or so at the very least.

Well, after they had finished with their bath, (only because I went up to check on them and they had shared their bath with the entire bathroom floor and were subsequently ejected from said bath, mind you) they came downstairs to "warm up" in front of the space heater in the TV room. Putting actual clothes on would have made too much sense.

As they dried off in front of the space heater, I cleaned up the mess in the bathroom. I wiped the counters and the walls, and then soaked up the mess on the floor with some towels. The bathmat (that I had JUST washed) was sopping wet and needed to be washed yet again. Oh joy. I carried the drippy mess downstairs to put it in the washer when I noticed a suspicious puddle in the pink beanbag chair. I went closer to see exactly what had happened and that is when I realized... Little Guy had PEED in the pink beanbag chair! Un. bee. lievable.

And when I asked him if he had done it, he said no. He blamed it on Grace. As if she'd pee in her own chair. And they say kids are so honest.
